Course Overview:

Milton's course is a very scenic course with lots of different terrain. The first lap takes you to a small trail, onto the main gravel path of the Houghton's Pond recreational area, and then up a large hill following a road. The hill is very steep at the beginning then somewhat becomes more gradual, but it is about 400 meters long. After you reach the top, there is a good stretch of downhill before you follow a trail along the Hillside Road, back to the main area of the pond. You then run past the finish line and run a loop around the pond on a trail that has a lot of roots in various places. Finally, you run through the starting area, back past the main bath house once again, finishing right before where the hill starts.

Roots

Roots

Once you enter the woods on a loop around the pond, the trail has a lot of roots and rocks that make it a bit dangerous for the ankles. The trail is pretty wide so there is plenty of room to go around the roots.

Hill

The first lap contains a massive hill that stretches for about 400 meters. The beginning is very steep but it becomes more gradual as it goes up. It is a road so it is all concrete.
